We’re on a bit of a hot streak with wines from the cold island down south. This is riesling from the fantastic 2017 vintage, produced by one of the Coal River Valley’s top wineries. It’s so fresh, so confident and so easy. The citrus is bright with ts accompanying acidity, the nose is all orange blossom and green apple, and there are hints of pithiness and quince on the palate. There’s even texture and a dash of spiciness to boot. It’s like a Ferrari easy chair, super sporty but so very comfortable.
