This Black Market Rioja deal indeed rocks! It’s from one of the region’s best, made from bush-vine tempranillo (with a splash of garnacha and graciano) and crafted with a light touch to accentuate the pristine fruit. It was first fermented in concrete and then aged n large old oak for twelve months, adding texture to the palate of firm fruits and a few more savoury notes. No oaky notes or overbearing grip here. It is an absolutely rockin’ wine - juicy, but not playful. Structured, but not serious. Red berries build on aniseed, mixed with hard herbs and a long, savoury finish. Decant and enjoy!
