The vineyard source for this bottle was established in 1828 and is considered the birthplace of Hunter Valley wine. As the longest running commercial vineyard in Australia, it’s got a bit of a leg up on the rest. This semillon comes from vines grown in sandy loam on the south bank of the Hunter Rier. The warm and dry 2020 vintage has made for a fragrant wine with aromas of lemongrass, a citrus-driven palate and loads of ageing potential.
