WINERY INFORMATION Sandalford Wines is a family owned and operated wine estate established initially by John Septimus Roe in 1840 After an honorary career in the British Navy John became the first Surveyor General of Western Australia in 1829 In admiration of John rsquo s efforts in the developent of the region Queen Victoria presented him with a 2000 acre property situated along River Swan in Caversham In 1991 the Prendiville family acquired the company The Prendivilles continue to carry forward the 177-year-old winemaking legacy of this iconic brand nbsp TASTING NOTES The fruit used to produce Sandalford Winemakers Shiraz was handpicked crushed and then fermented prior left on skins for a week This process led to the creation of a purple-red hued wine offering magenta tints This delightful Shiraz presents mesmerising aromas and exciting flavours of currants mulberries vanilla spicy blackberry and star anise characters The finish is elegant and captivating This enticing red wine has been crafted to be relished immediately upon release It tastes lovely with grilled beef with pepper sauce smoked brisket and Cheddar cheese nbsp
