WINERY INFORMATION Founder John Roe established the Sandalford estate in 1840 by planting his very first vines on the 2000-acre land in Caversham presented by Queen Victoria Under the supervision of then winemaker Dorham Mann the Roe family expanded to the Margaret River region and acquired a 28ha vineyard at Wilyabrup In 1970 they planted the property with vines The Prendiville family took over the ownership of Sandalford Wines in 1991 from John rsquo s descendants nbsp TASTING NOTES Winemakers Cabernet Merlot was created by the fusion of 45 Merlot grapes with 55 Cabernet Sauvignon A swirl of the glass reveals scintillating fruit aromas Dusty plum characters from Merlot grapes fuse with blackberries and bramble notes from Cabernet grapes on the fruit forward palate to culminate in a captivating and sophisticated finale This beautiful red blend from Sandalford Wines has been made for immediate consumption Serve it with lamb slow cooker beef pot roast or pepperoni pizza nbsp nbsp
