A nose full of dark fruits; plums, blackberry and black currant with a warm spice note enticing you in. There is great structure on the palate, the cabernet provides drive while the merlot gives a rounded out mouth-feel. This a serious wine and despite the dark fruits this wine is all about structur and savoury. It finishes long with cigar box spice and a memory of black currant fields. Shaw Wines is a family-owned and operated business located in Murrumbateman NSW, the heart of the Canberra cool-climate wine region. Locally produced wines from estate grown fruit. The Estate is truly a family affair headed by Graeme and Ann Shaw, who oversee the operation. Their two children, Tanya and Michael, are both fully employed in the family business as well as Tanya’s husband Michael. Now, more than ever, it’s so important to support local producers.
