WINERY INFORMATION Started as an extended partnership between renowned winemakers Nicholas Crampton and Jim Zerella Hogshead offers an outstanding range of intense flavoursome and full-bodied wines The winemaking team crafts these delicious wines using premium fruit parcels sourced from old vine planted in the Langhorne Creek Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale regions TASTING NOTES The premium grapes used to produce this enticing Shiraz were destemmed followed by cool maceration The wine was then partially matured in stainless steel French hogshead barrels and in a combination of American and French oak nbsp nbsp Hogshead Shiraz displays a deep purple colour The aromatic bouquet offers mesmerising scents of ripe plums dark fruits and sweet smoked spice The lush palate is filled with flavours of boysenberries violets blue fruits and exotic spice Fine tannins drive the mouth-filling palate to a captivating finish Suggested food pairings for this delicious red wine include smoky sausages grilled red peppers and barbecued red meats nbsp
