WINERY INFORMATION Created as a collaboration between two renowned grape growers of South Australia ndash Nicholas Crampton and Jim Zerella Hogshead produces a unique range of robust and intensely flavoured wines These full bodied wines were partially aged in 300L hogshead barrels to enhance th intense fruit characters and the complexity nbsp TASTING NOTES Hogshead Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful blend of 90 Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with 10 Shiraz grapes This resulted in the creation of a deep ruby red coloured wine offering a dark rim The attractive bouquet flaunts scintillating aromas of currant and blackberry coupled with light suggestions of bramble and savoury oak The plush palate is packed with ripe plum and dark berry flavours ending the wine in a long and structured finish marked by fine tannins This wonderful Cab Sauv tastes excellent with mushroom risotto pot roast and grilled hamburgers
