WINERY INFORMATION Crossroads Winery was founded in 1987 with the sole aim to produce the finest quality wines using premium grape varieties exclusively grown in the Hawke rsquo s Bay region The company released its first vintage in the year 1990 The winemaking team is presently led by Winemaker iles Dinneen who joined the company in 2004 In 2011 the brand became a part of Yealands Wine Group nbsp TASTING NOTES The fruit for producing Winemakers Chardonnay was hand harvested and then pressed into barrels for fermentation Post maturation in French oak barriques the wine features a pale straw colour marked by light green tints A whiff of the wine offers toasty oak notes in addition to scintillating fragrances of nectarine and citrus blossom The rich and creamy palate packs juicy flavours of peach melon and lemon This enticing white wine ends in a long and refreshing finale It is a great food accompaniment to Southern fried chicken served with butter chips and fresh salads
