WINERY INFORMATION With more than 30 years of winemaking experience Crossroads Winery offers a unique collection of premium and elegant Hawke rsquo s Bay wines In 2001 the company joined hands with some of the most reputed wineries in the region to form the Gimblett Gravels Winegrowers Associatin The Milestone series represents the dedication of the winemaking team towards creating remarkable wines TASTING NOTES The grapes used to craft Crossroads Milestone Chardonnay were harvested and pressed into barrels and tanks for fermentation The juice was treated with lees to build texture This led to the creation of a pale straw hued wine showing light golden shades The perfumed nose exhibits mesmerising scents of fresh toast and citrus blossom with light hints of gun smoke evident in the backdrop The lush and textured palate is rife with juicy flavours of nectarine peach lemon and toasty oak These delicious characters culminate in a fresh and long finale Suggested food pairings for this pleasing Chardonnay include grilled pork chops served with creamy mushroom sauce or crispy chicken with toasted garlic kale
