WINERY INFORMATION The exquisite range of wines by Crossroads can be enjoyed in the estate rsquo s cellar door located in the midst of the picturesque Home Block vineyard The winery received the NZ Wine Producer of the Year award in the International Wine amp Spirit Competition 2014 This remarkble Merlot received silver medals in International Wine and Spirit Awards 2016 Japan Wine Challenge 2016 and Air New Zealand Wine Awards 2016 nbsp TASTING NOTES Crossroads Milestone Merlot was produced using premium grapes sourced from the estate rsquo s vineyards in the Hawke rsquo s Bay region These grapes were harvested destemmed in fermenters hand plunged and pumped over Post maceration on skins and pressing the juice was transferred to tanks and barrels for malolactic fermentation This dazzling Merlot showcases a deep ruby red colour with bright purple hues enhancing the appearance A swirl of the glass reveals fresh fruit aromas of plum blackcurrant and light toasty oak notes Smooth tannins integrate with the supple palate to end the drink in a rich and lingering finish Serve this beautiful red wine with lamb chops and mashed potatoes to fully appreciate its grand flavour profile nbsp
