WINERY INFORMATION Located around 40 km from Adelaide the Pirramimma Winery produces internationally renowned wines Winemaker Geoff Johnston rsquo s award-winning Petit Verdot vintages have prompted the reputed lsquo WeinWisser rsquo magazine to ask if there is a better Petit Verdot in the worl The company was established by Geoff rsquo s grandfather Alexander Campbell Johnston in the year 1892 It has been appropriately managed and owned by the Johnstons ever since TASTING NOTES This delightful War Horse Shiraz displays a deep red colour lined by violet hues Pleasing aromas of spicy plum and briary blackberry fuse with gentle suggestions of nutmeg vanilla red frangipani and black olive to offer a luxurious bouquet A sip of the wine offers luscious flavours of cranberry spicy mulberry dark chocolate red liquorice star anise cedary oak and morello cherry These flavours and fragrances are supported by a firm line of structural tannins and oak to culminate in an extended finale This tempting Shiraz tastes impressive with foods like ravioli Osso Buco with salsa verde and eye fillet with Persian feta cheese
