WINERY INFORMATION Mitchell Wines is a family owned winery headed by Andrew and Jane Mitchell in the Clare Valley region Their four vineyards boast of coveted grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon Riesling Shiraz Grenache and Semillon The Clare climate is sub-continental blessed with war to hot days and cool nights ideal for cool-climate grape varieties TASTING NOTES This Mitchell Grenache Mataro consists of 90 Grenache and 10 Mataro grapes Its colour is a typical Grenache bright brick-red This is a fresh and juicy Grenache Mataro blend which presents a savoury cherry fruit bouquet with hints of spice Although the palate is light-bodied it is surprisingly fresh and juicy filled with red berry and plum fruit impressions Underlying earth and cedar notes with soft tannins and a spicy length make it a great food companion to Margarita Pizza nbsp
