This medium-bodied example is from one of the cooler spots in Barossa and is silky and soft, doing everything you could imagine merlot doing, and doing it well. It’s packed with red fruit, tea leaf and a touch of vanillin oak that sits perfetly in the fruit. This well-balanced wine is incredible value, and a good reason to take another look if you haven’t touched merlot since watching Sideways.
