Chiefs Son Distillerys Cask Expression Release 7, bottled at 46 ABV, is a masterful blend of two distinct whiskies. One matured in second-fill French oak ex-Apera casks, imparting honey, citrus, and caramel notes the other in first-fill French oak ex-TawnyPort casks, delivering dried fruits, chocolae, and pear flavours. These were then married in an American oak ex-Jamaican Rum barrel, adding rich lemonade and dark sugar undertones, resulting in a whisky that echoes the smooth, complex character of a Belgian Tripel beer.
