WINERY INFORMATION Vineyard Fruit for this wine was sourced from CRFT rsquo s Cemetery Vineyard in Barossa Valley which is run by winemaker Andy Kalleske and his parents The soil composition of this area consists of red clay soils covered with a layer of mineral rich clayey loams The underlyingancient red clay soils restrict the growth of vines and enhance the colour as well as flavour intensity of the grapes Winemaking The grapes were picked and de-stemmed to an open-top tank so that they could be fermented and hand plunged two to three times every day Bunches were pressed to oak for a three week barrel fermentation cycle after which a ten month maturation period followed where 60 French and 40 American oak barrels were used 20 of which were made using new oak This great wine too is unfiltered unfined and vegan just like every CRFT wine TASTING NOTES CRFT Shiraz Cemetery Vineyard 2014 is a marvelously styled crimson-coloured wine staying true to the legacy of the Barossa Valley region Fragrances of blackberry jam and leather flow from the nose while the palate hints at strong and intense Ebenezer-like characters Flavours of cranberry blackcurrant and cardamom spice are filled throughout the wine leading up to a persistent and lengthy finale This wine is ready to be enjoyed upon release or can be cellared up till 2034 Grilled pepper steak blue cheese and heavy meat cuisines taste perfect with this Shiraz
