WINERY INFORMATION Founder Bob Oatley established Robert Oatley Vineyards with the support of his eldest son Sandy The focus of the Oatley winemaking team is to craft wines of varietal clarity focus integrity and character ndash wines that reflect their provenance in a modern fashion Their Chin of Fire range has been named so in reference to a series of extinct volcanoes TASTING NOTES Produced using grapes sourced from the lush Central Ranges in New South Wales Chain of Fire Merlot is a vibrant wine showing dark hues with slight red tinges Exhibiting lifted berry aromas from its bouquet in addition to displaying ripe and fruity flavours on the palate this marvellous red varietal couples delicate and plush tannins with the exquisite fruit characters to lead to a pleasing and lingering climax It tastes great paired with foods like roasted pork loin lamb burgers and shepherd rsquo s pie nbsp
