WINERY INFORMATION Chain of Fire is a premium range of wines produced by Robert Oatley Vineyards which is named after the experts rsquo term used to denote a series of extinct volcanoes The label features a blacksmith in tribute to Vulcan the Roman God of Volcanoes Robert Oatley Vineyards is te reflection of the Oatley family winemaking history which was founded by Bob Oatley with the aim to craft wines that have varietal clarity and focus and reflect the characteristics of the region in which the grapes are grown TASTING NOTES The fruits used to craft the Robert Oatley Chain of Fire Cabernet Shiraz were harvested at optimum ripeness fermented on skins and aged in French oak to retain maximum fruit flavours and characteristics in the wine This exquisite Cabernet Shiraz is a blend of 16 Cabernet Sauvignon with 84 Shiraz grapes sourced from vineyards in the Central Ranges region of New South Wales The attractive bouquet gives way to a rich and structured palate both of which mesh together to provide a smooth and refreshing finish This elegant wine has a cellaring potential of 7 years and tastes incredible with scotch fillets braised lamb shanks and beef medallions
