WINERY INFORMATION Robert Oatley Vineyards is one of the most respected and beloved wineries of Western Australia The Oatley family has a rich and vibrant history in the art of winemaking all of which was incorporated by Bob Oatley and his son Sandy when they founded the cellar door in 1858 just short drive away from the town of Mudgee The objective of the company has always been to produce wines of varietal clarity integrity character and focus nbsp TASTING NOTES Chain of Fire Chardonnay was manufactured using grapes grown in the rich volcanic soils of the estate rsquo s own vineyards Displaying a light yellow green colour this elegant Chardonnay gives off tropical fruit as well as citrus fragrances from its luscious bouquet The well-rounded palate is complex and medium-bodied filled with juicy flavours of ripe melons and stone fruits Supported by the zesty acidity and firm tannin structure this Chardonnay ends in a lengthy and soft climax White meats cheese and fresh seafood taste wonderful with this vibrant white wine
