Over the past few years, pinot gris has become all the rage down in Tassie. Winemakers say they can’t make enough to meet demand. They just didn’t know how demanding we can be! This is the fourth vintage we’ve gotten of this top producer’s gris and it’s looking gret again - bursting with texture and energy, full of pears, apples, spice and herbs (think cardamom, nutmeg and aniseed) with a touch of residual sugar and a viscosity that reminds you that this ain’t grigio. The bottle will be drained before you know what happened.
