This wine shows everything that makes Barossa GSM blends great. There's the fragrant raspberry fruit from the Grenache, backed by the plummy richness from the Shiraz, then followed through by the dark heartiness of Mataro, the Carignan delivering a subtle spicy fleshiness for good measure. In othe words, it's a Cinderella wine - a classic Barossa red, using fruit from old vines in the Marananga and Vine Vale sub-regions (hence the MVV on the label), and made by veteran Barossa winemaker Rolf Binder.
