WINERY INFORMATION Owned and managed by Andrew and Michelle Holt Poonawatta Estate produces a premium range of handcrafted wines using fruits sourced from its vineyards spread across the Eden Valley region in South Australia Their original vineyard is recognised as one of the oldest vineyards of he world for the Shiraz vines planted there in 1880 The winemaking team at Poonawatta takes pride in producing wines that portray authenticity as well as a sense of place nbsp TASTING NOTES The Four Corners Grenache Shiraz is a blend of 53 Grenache grapes with 47 Shiraz grapes resulting in a deep red coloured wine exhibiting dark hues The attractive bouquet exudes fresh aromas of red fruits while the palate is sweet and complex brimming with flavours of raspberries cherries ripe plums and black fruits coupled with subtle spicy and floral notes These flavours fuse with subtle nuances of old oak and fine tannins which are supported by a zesty acidity to ultimately culminate in a lush and fruity finish This elegant Grenache Shiraz tastes marvellous with slow cooked lamb roasts Moroccan tagines and pizzas nbsp
