WINERY INFORMATION Following the footsteps of his great-great grandfather Sir Thomas Borthwick Paddy wanted to look for diverse options to farming He established Borthwick Vineyard in 1996 after completing his training as a viticulturist and winemaker from the reputed Roseworthy College in Austrlia Located in Gladstone in the heart of Wairarapa the Borthwick wine estate produces distinctive wines that portray the essence of the Wairarapa region nbsp TASTING NOTES The fruit used to craft Paddy Borthwick Sauvignon Blanc was processed and fermented in tanks and treated with a variety of lees and yeasts to retain vibrant aromas and fresh acidity This led to the creation of a pale straw and light lemon hued wine The attractive bouquet exhibits juicy aromas of gooseberries guavas grapefruits and melons while the palate is driven by sweet fruit flavours and a fine mineral acidity that leads to a captivating and refreshing finale Drink this delightful white wine with fresh shellfish and grilled white fish or with a summer salad of seasonal berries apples and pears nbsp nbsp
