WINERY INFORMATION Borthwick Estate is a family owned winery and vineyard estate founded by an accomplished winemaker and viticulturist ndash Paddy Borthwick Paddy and his winemaking team craft a premium range of flavoursome and single vineyard wines using sustainable winemaking practices and miimal intervention in the vineyard Spread across 27 hectares the estate was established in the year 1996 by Paddy and his father Robin Borthwick TASTING NOTES The grapes used to craft Paddy Borthwick Chardonnay were fermented with natural yeasts and aged on yeast lees as well as in French oak barrels to retain maximum fruit flavours and complexity This delightful Chardonnay displays a pale yellow colour with green highlights throughout The attractive bouquet exudes rich fruit aromas of nectarines apricots and pineapples coupled with subtle oak characters These fragrances combine with almond and toasted bread characters on the palate to offer a creamy texture and captivating finish With a cellaring potential of 6 years from vintage this wonderful white wine tastes excellent with skate wings baked fish and risottos nbsp
