Wairarapa is hotter than Hansel right now. And here’s a pinot that shows that off. It has all the right things in all the right places: medium-bodied, soft and silky, cherries and redcurrants, and all that complexity. Rading Chan’s review reminded me of a little science lecture, but the score’s bang-on. All this needs is some Peking duck, a few mates and a good atmosphere and it’ll show you what it’s made of. Pinot. That’s what it’s made of.
