The aroma is a very sophisticated blend of blackberry, mulberry, spice and plum with a hint of vanilla and roasted almonds. With time in the glass, the wine opens up to reveal a strong peppery/spice note and some mint. The palate if full of lively dark berry fruits, with some chocolate and a savourysoy finish. The tannins are fine and soft yet offer structure and elegance to the wine. The overall palate experience is balanced, seamless and harmonious with great length finishing with refined flavours. Perfect partner to Steak, Lamb Rack or Casserole, BBQ, Pizza and a hard-vintage cheddar. 'Richly fruited and engaging, the bouquet shows blackberry, spiced cherry, violet, chocolate tart and roasted hazelnut characters. The palate displays excellent weight and opulence as well as fleshy texture and expansive mouthfeel, superbly structured by fine, firm tannins.
