WINERY INFORMATION In the year 1984 owners Jim and Helen Watts purchased Fox Creek Vineyard in McLaren Vale a globally renowned wine region for Shiraz In 1995 the company rsquo s 1994 Shiraz won the lsquo Best Wine rsquo trophy at the McLaren Vale Wine Show Fox Creek has subsequently won thi award in the years 1998 and 2003 TASTING NOTES In a glass this wine flaunts a deep purple to red colour Blueberry blackcurrant clove nutmeg dark chocolate and cigar box fragrances exude from the wine rsquo s elegant nose coupled with a refreshing minty and leafy lift The perfumed bouquet is followed by a medium bodied and multi layered palate offering black cherry raspberry blackberry coffee and mocha flavours These notes are complemented by a touch of roast nuts toast and brown spice Fine and silky tannins fuse with the well balanced palate to end the drink in a focussed and lengthy finish This intense red can be cellared for up to 10 years from vintage Serve it with Abbaye de Belloc cheese Aussie beef burger or roast venison
