WINERY INFORMATION With a vision to create wines from bare earth and sunshine a group of doctors and their families established Fox Creek Wines The Custodians wine range honours the contribution of Henry Malpas Willunga rsquo s first Postmaster James Stanley Malpas and Jim and Helen Watts Thi wine derives its name from James Stanley Malpas former owner of the stone cottage which houses the company rsquo s cellar door nbsp TASTING NOTES Fox Creek Custodians JSM is a blend of 78 Shiraz with 18 Cab Sauv and 4 Cab Franc grapes It displays a deep red colour with a light purple haze The luxurious bouquet exhibits enticing aromas of blood plum black cherry liquorice vanilla bean and smoky toast with light suggestions of charcuterie and herbal spearmint Mesmerizing scents of cinnamon nutmeg clove and black cardamom further enhance this aromatic nose The luscious palate packs rich flavours of plum blackcurrant raspberry red cherry toasty oak and dark chocolate coupled with vanilla cream and strawberry nuances These characters integrate with a balanced layer of Cabernet as well as oak tannins to culminate in a long and textured finish This elegant red blend can be enjoyed within a cellaring term of 8 to 12 years Drink it with food items like roasted veggies spicy sausages and grilled beef to unveil its grand fruit flavours nbsp
