This wine shows the spicy spectrum that both these varieties can exhibit when fully ripened in the McLaren Vale area. Ripe plum and maraschino cherry frit with a spicy frangrance. The flavours are full and round but dry with balanced soft tannins making this an ideal wine with robust, hearty Mediterranean meat dishes. European weight of wine comes from age of vines (98 year old Grenache) and vinification techniques.
