WINERY INFORMATION Campbells Vineyard is found at the foothills west of the town of Rutherglen in northeast Victoria Established in 1870 it is now run by the fourth and fifth generations of Campbells Brothers Malcolm and Colin viticulturist and winemaker respectively run the vineyard with an epertise honed over 140 years This vineyard has consistently crafted multi-awarded and internationally acclaimed wines TASTING NOTES This Merchant Prince Rare Muscat is deep brown in colour with an olive green rim The bouquet exhibits intense raisin fruit aromas with nutty rancio complexity a result of long-term maturation in oak casks Its primary palate contains flavours of spices burnt toffee walnut dark chocolate ground coffee beans and hints of tar The sweetness of raisins bursts through the full length of the palate while the drying tannins linger on Its finish is long and drawn out retaining its impeccable poise and balance This delicious Muscat tastes excellent with strong cheeses and plum puddings or can be consumed as a simple after-dinner drink with freshly brewed coffee
