Angove Red Blend Recipe

$8.99

Vineyard:

2013 was a year of change and challenge; good winter/spring rains setting up excellent vine canopies followed by spells of heat and rejuvenating cool changes, this allowed the fruit to develop fresh, bright and intense characters, with some exceptionalelegance. The steady ripening period made harvest a breeze, with the winemakers able to harvest each parcel at optimal ripeness.Winemaking Each of the three varieties was picked only when they tasted absolutely perfect. Picked in the cool of the night and then crushed and de-stemmed, each parcel was fermented according to taste. Maturation in American oak following pressing, with the assemblage coordinated in late 2013.This is Australian red wine at it’s best; following the traditions of Australia’s winemaking pioneers and mixing together grapes of different varieties across South Australia’s most famous regions to produce synergistic blend.Spicy shiraz from Barossa and the Southern Flinders, juicy fruity Grenache from the best old vines in the Riverland, and dark, rich Petit Verdot from a selected grower on the sunny banks of the Murray River, combine in Dr. Angove’s heady and delicious “Recipe.”v. 2013
