From a very decent year in Bordeaux comes this Grand Cru Merlot Cab Franc blend at such a reasonable price it's a crime! It's quite a darkly-fruited, fleshy number showing lots of ripe plums and cherries, along with hints of sandalwood and crushed leaves. The palate is fuller-bodied, with a touch offirmness to the fine tannins, bright acidity and a lingering finish that begs for a little more time in the cellar. Excellent with braised beef short ribs.
