Yering Station Yarrabank Crème de Cuvee Sparkling

$39.99

Cracka Review Yering Station are famed for their still wines but the Yarrabank range can make the best quality Sparklings, drawing on their stocks of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. One of the major drawcards is the attractive pink colour in the glass before your nose is seduced by aromas of strawberries pear and almond. The party continues on the palate with strawberry, pastry, citrus and integrated acids. It’s balanced and finishes with excellent length. This is the kind of fizz you want on hand to get the party started, serve on it’s own or with a range of sashimi. Winemaker's Notes Varietal Composition: 52.6% Chardonnay, 47.4% Pinot Noir. Colour: Strawberry blonde. Nose: Strawberry, pear with hints of almond and yeast. Palate: Creamy palate with integrated acid providing balance to this unctuous yet elegant wine. Strawberry, stone fruit, citrus and pastry characters provide further structure. Balance is maintained through to the back of the palate and finishes with excellent length. Alc/vol: 11.6% Expert Reviews Tyson Stelzer says With a medium crimson hue, this is a sweet rose of apple, watermelon and strawberry fruit, and the spicy, nutty complexity and lees texture of 3 years of bottle age. It culminates in a long and complex yet candied finish. A serious offering for the sweet tooth. 90 Campbell Mattinson says This is Yarrabank’s “sweeter” Sparkling option. It offers just a little more than mere sweetness. It tastes of cooked apple and toffee with flashes of strawberry and toast too. There’s plenty of colour to the wine; you’d call it ‘pale crimson’ but it’s easy to see copper and magenta colours too. It is sweet but it finishes fresh, almost crisp; it’s not syrupy or excessive. It offers reasonable depth of flavour too. It’s not for everyone but it’s pretty well done.2017 - 2019 90 Huon Hooke says Full copper-pink colour; the bouquet savoury, complex and nutty/toasty with some hazelnut and quince paste nuances. The palate has sweetness early, but this is balanced by ample flavour, body and drying phenolic grip. A generously flavoured demi-sec style which finishes cleanly with a drying after-palate. Very attractive. 90 Jeremy Oliver says A deeply coloured demi-sec Rosé whose fresh strawberry and cherry flavour is underpinned by notes of peach, hazelnut and a fine chalkiness. 91 | Yering Station NV Yarrabank Crème de Cuvee Yarra Valley Sparkling Wine | The Wine Collective
