WINERY INFORMATION Dr Bailey Carrodus planted his first vines in 1969 on a piece of land located at the foot of Warramate Hills He named this vineyard lsquo Yarra Yering rsquo and subsequently released his first vintage in 1973 Known as one of the oldest vineyards in the Yarra Valley region t consists of 28 hectares of vine plantations nbsp TASTING NOTES Yarra Yering Dry White No 1 is a Bordeaux inspired stylish blend of 13 Chardonnay grapes with 87 Semillon grapes The resulting wine displays a greenish hue The perfumed bouquet is an amalgam of tangy pineapple red apple and peach aromas Luscious white peach and lemon zest characters dominate the textured palate These aromas and flavours fuse with crisp acidity eventually culminating in a lengthy finish It can be enjoyed fresh and young upon release or cellared for 15 or more years from vintage Careful cellaring will reward the wine with new flavours of citrus lemon and tobacco leaf This medium bodied white wine pairs best with seafood preparations nbsp
