WINERY INFORMATION Villa Maria wines are a premium range of elegantly styled and flavoursome wine varietals crafted using fruits sourced from their vineyards in Auckland Gisborne Hawke rsquo s Bay and Marlborough Sir George Fistonich the owner and founder of the estate was one of the first wie company owners in New Zealand to employ professional viticulturists recognizing the importance of viticulture in the quality of a wine The estate was established in the year 1961 nbsp TASTING NOTES The grapes used to craft Private Bin Pinot Gris were crushed pressed gently and carefully fermented to retain maximum fruit flavours and intensity The resulting wine displays a pale lemon green hue and gives off juicy aromas of pears red apples and honeysuckle from its fragrant nose These aromas shift to the palate to provide a rich and textured mouthfeel culminating in an off-dry yet delicious finale This wonderful white wine tastes great with white meats seafood salads and soft cheeses nbsp
