WINERY INFORMATION Michael Twelftree proprietor and Managing Director of Two Hands is now a prominent figure in the local as well as international wine industry His four wine series have taken the wine market by storm The ranges are ndash Flagship in which only grapes that have met strict qulity measures make it to barrel and bottle Single Vineyard in which regional elegance of wines is taken to the next level Garden which consists of six wines form the finest Shiraz-growing regions and Picture which centers on purity of fruit and sensory pleasures TASTING NOTES This 2016 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon from McLaren Vale has an alcohol volume of 14 The wine is vibrant in colour usually a dark red hue This is a succulent wine teeming with initial aromas of red currants plum bay leaf juniper wet clay and graphite on the nose Balanced and intricate this medium-bodied wine abounds with soft fruit density The luscious palate is full of flavours of red currant cassis black cherry and plum supported by notes of bay leaf graphite wet clay and chocolate Tannins are tangy and can be found at the mid-palate complemented by an emphasis of coal dust and ash The wine finishes with notes of chocolate and coffee grounds Cellaring potential is up to 10 years under favourable conditions Some dishes that go well with this wine are marinated rib-eye steak braised short ribs and mushroom stroganoff
