WINERY INFORMATION Michael Twelftree is an acclaimed winemaker whose first vintage in 2000 was the springboard for his success with the Two Hands winery A prestigious player in the local and international wine scene his four wine series each have a loyal following ndash Flagship only fruits tht have passed strict quality control make it to the barrel and bottle Single Vineyard which takes regional elegance of wines to the next level Garden consisting of six wines from the finest Shiraz-growing regions and Picture which focuses on purity of fruit and sensory pleasures His latest entr eacute e Twelftree Wines is an exclusive collection of premium Grenache wines TASTING NOTES The wine is a deep dark crimson red in colour The nose is welcomed by lifted fragrances of plum violet menthol boysenberry and red-fruited multi-dimensional bouquets Good energy drives through the front palate with vibrant notes of plum and blueberries and a deft mouthfeel This is a medium to full-bodied wine with secondary notes of fresh violets and aromatic woody herbs which are slowly revealed in the mid-palate Appealing tannins draw the wine through to a sustained finish This wine can be enjoyed early but further cellaring for about 5 to 9 years will enhance its flavours and characters This rich and bold wine goes well with Australian dishes such as rack of lamb sausage rolls beef and quince stew meat pie chicken and pumpkin and BBQ lamb ribs
