WINERY INFORMATION Thorn-Clarke is a family owned and operated wine company founded by David and Cheryl Clarke The estate covers 270 hectares of vineyard land across the Eden and Barossa Valley wine regions The winemaking team believes that the best wines are made in vineyards not wineries and hat a proper understanding of vineyards gives Thorn-Clarke a competitive edge TASTING NOTES Ron Thorn Shiraz was produced using optimally ripe Shiraz grapes that were picked at night destemmed and fermented in open fermenters The resulting wine shows a deep red colour with slight purple tinges and exudes rich aromas of dark chocolate enhanced by black liquorice and coffee bean Scents of black olive raw soy aniseed and tar complete the intense nose which in turn leads to a balanced and textured palate A sip of the red wine reveals dark berry flavours meshed with 100 new oak and ripe tannins The finale is impressively long Pair this luxurious wine with BBQ aged Cheddar cheese or spicy sausage pizza
