WINERY INFORMATION With a firm belief that great wines are created in the vineyard and not in the winery the winemaking team at Thorn-Clarke crafts premium and elegantly styled wines With six generations of vignerons associated with the business the company released its first wines in 2001 Founers David and Cheryl Clarke manage the daily operations of the company with the help of their son Sam TASTING NOTES This stunning Shotfire Quartage is a blend of 17 Merlot 23 Petit Verdot and 25 Cab Franc grapes with 35 Cab Sauv grapes The resulting wine shows a deep red colour with vibrant brick red tints Sharp aromas of blackcurrant dark chocolate violet spice and eucalypt flow from its scintillating nose The plush and savoury palate contains flavours of blackberry cherry plum and anise Fine and structured tannins combine with generous fruit and refined oak characters ending this exquisite red blend in a persistent climax This dazzling red wine tastes marvellous with lamb cutlets gourmet hamburgers and beef tenderloin nbsp
