The Angelus Cabernet Sauvignon

$70.00

One of Wirra Wirra's flagship wines and deservedly so. Lovely rich cassis and blackcurrant fruits line the mouth providing a long and persistent palate with 'classic McLaren Vale Cabernet'.'…deep garnet-purple colored and shows off intensely scented notes of creme de cassis, black cherry preseves and blueberry tart with hints of cedar, mint, dark chocolate and tree bark. Medium to full-bodied, it is well balanced with a good core of expressive fruit, medium firm, grainy tannins, crisp acid and a long finish. Still a little young, it should drink best 2014 to 2024+.' – 93 Points.- Wine Advocate #205, Lisa Perotti-Brown, Feb 2013.'Deep purple-crimson; a reaffirmation of the ability of McLaren Vale to produce cabernet sauvignon of great authority and power; black fruits are the order of the day, the tannins skilfully moulded, the oak integrated.' - 96 Points.- James Halliday Wine Companion 2013.
