WINERY INFORMATION Swings amp Roundabouts rsquo Chief Winemaker Brian Fletcher started his winemaking career in 1980 after completing Oenology from Charles Sturt University Brian has more than 35 years of winemaking experience and has worked for several reputed wine companies including Casa Viicola Calatrasi in Sicily and Evans amp Tate Wines The Backyard Stories wine range represents the commitment and skills of the winemaking team in producing these food-friendly wines using traditional winemaking techniques nbsp TASTING NOTES Backyard Stories Rose is an exquisite blend of 9 Pinot Noir 5 Sauv Blanc and 5 Semillon grapes with 81 Sangiovese grapes These grapes were handpicked crushed and then pressed The juice obtained was barrel fermented in old white oak to create a pale salmon coloured wine accompanied by coral pink shades The perfumed bouquet gives off candied Sangiovese aromas with oak hints evident in the backdrop The rich palate full of fresh fruit oak and potpourri flavours is balanced by excellent acidity which eventually paves the way for a crisp and captivating finish This stunning Rose from Swings amp Roundabouts Wines can be drunk within a cellaring term of 12 months It tastes excellent as an aperitif served with shortbreads or mandorla dolce nbsp
