Winemaker Alex McKay started Collector Wines in 2005 with just a handful of cool climate shiraz and a determination to make elegant, long-lived wines. Made with Sangiovese (99%) and Mammolo (1%) this wine is fresh on the nose with aromas of mandarin, cherry, rose-water and spice. The palate is dr, with moreish mid-palate texture and mouth-watering acidity. Finishes fresh and clean, we recommend keeping the food pairing simple, having it with a seafood dish, such as fresh clams straight from the sea with a squeeze of lemon. Put one in your picnic basket and enjoy it outdoors on warmer days in a group for the best results.
