I tasted this at the winery on a recent trip to Margaret River and was blown away. When Margs wineries get shiraz right, it’s such an incredible drop. The fruit is handpicked off a single vineyard, started in a ferment as whole berries and sent to French oak to finish the task. It’s right in themedium-bodied zone with a complex nose of plum, nutmeg and pepper. As this extends to the palate, cocoa, cherry and coffee are added. There’s a chalky tannin structure and lengthy finish to round out the experience. Just delicious and extremely versatile with food.
