The buyers here at the ‘Fo are nothing if not resourceful and thorough. Fingers on the pulse of the wine industry so to speak. And that focus can often lead to nice little finds like this Heathcote shiraz. Simply put, it’s the export label version of one of our Mofo’s favourite shiraz from theregion, produced by one of Victoria’s (and Australia’s) most renowned winemakers. The wine never ended up shipping overseas, but rather took a much shorter journey along the Hume to our warehouse. Call it a staycation if you will, but we’re happy it’s sticking around Australia. We think you will be as well. It’s all blackberry, plum and spice with a nice earthy undertone and a ‘drink now’ kinda profile. Crack it open any night of the week and make the best of staying close to home.
