WINERY INFORMATION Rutherglen Estates rsquo winemaking team is headed by skilled winemaker Marc Scalzo who joined the company for the harvest of the 2008 vintage With more than 12 years of winemaking experience Marc supervises all the winery and winemaking operations of the company He also plas an important role in creating an innovative wine portfolio which includes both alternative and traditional varietals and blends nbsp TASTING NOTES The premium fruit used to produce this enticing Pinot Grigio was harvested and then fermented in stainless steel tanks followed by treatment with yeast least for 5 months The resulting wine flaunts a pale straw colour with a watery haze The perfumed nose gives off delicate aromas of almond and pear making way for a soft and textured palate Firm acidity balances these wonderful characters to culminate the wine in a captivating finish With the potential to be cellared for 2 years this tempting Rutherglen Estates Pinot Grigio can also be enjoyed fresh upon release It tastes excellent with chicken pasta Mediterranean dishes and antipasto platter nbsp
