Maybe Nadia Langenegger and her team at False Bay Vineyards in South Africa are putting a bit too much love and attention into their wines. We’re certainly not complaining, but chardy at this price with this sort of work involved? We’re talking sustainable farming, hand harvesting, natural fermets and even vegan friendly. It’s a bit ridiculous. And what’s in the bottle? Some absolutely delicious chardonnay. It toes the line between lean and rich, showing some nice melon and citrus notes, all buoyed by a compelling line of minerality. An impressive example of chardonnay from the southern tip of Africa.
