The term ‘revenant’ refers to someone or something that returns after a long absence. While this is the first cab sav we’ve had under this specific label (perhaps rendering the definition irrelevant to us), it does mark the return of wines from South Arican superstar producer False Bay. It’s sourced from Stellenbosch, a region famed for cabernet blends. There’s mostly cab sav in it with a decent portion of old vine cinsault to boot. The cab underwent a wild fermentation and the cinsault received carbonic maceration before being aged separately for nine months. The final 80/20 blend is beautifully complex, elegant and suprisingly soft with well-integrated tannins. We’re quite sure you’ll be returning to it again and again.
