Pirramimma Osmond Dry Grown Pinot Noir

***Please note the Osmond Pinot Noir is not for Pinot drinkers, looking for a light, fruity, strawberry, cherry, sweet style of Pinot Noir. The fruit was from a rare clone, that is quite tannic for Pinot Noir , thus the resultant wine is more like Burgundy in style, with a lon seem of drying tannins enveloping the fruit. The wine must be consumed with food, fantastic with a Spicy Duck dish, Mongolian lamb, great with an aged Vintage Cheddar.

For this rare release we bought fruit from the 5th generation grower Fred Osmond, whose family commenced their journey in the wine industry in 1853. The exceptionally cool 2012 vintage, provided long slow ripening for this difficult variety and an opportunity to produce a Pinot Noir with power and backbone.
