Pirramimma has been doing it, and doing it well, for ages. We’re talking almost 130 years now. It’s fair to say they’ve seen enough vintages to know their vineyards through and through. This Vale cabernet hits all the varietal notes with red and blakcurrant, mint, capsicum and chocolate. The tannins are fine and relaxed with the help of six years of age, and the finish is quite lengthy, making it a good match for any sort of meaty or rich food. The pricing is sharp enough that you’ll feel good opening this up any night of the week, but the wine’s so delicious that it’ll feel like that special Saturday night bottle.
