Pirramimma has mastered a powerful style of robust McLaren Vale reds. This petit verdot is a great example of their house style, hailing from vineyards of old vines and tiny, concentrated yields. It’s a step up from their Vineyard Select range, with more richness, complexity and length. The wine sw 40% new French oak, which has added a toasty note to an abundance of plums, blueberries and raisins. The producer has said that “this big brooding wine will require serious aerating”, so polish off your decanter and get this one breathing before you start grilling the accompanying feast!
